Henry Goehring
11/10/1846 - 08/29/1870

Comment: Henry Goehring was killed by lightning at the 
Freeport Cemetery as he and his brother Augus were picking 
out a grave for a brother who had just died. Henry and his 
brother Lewis who was working as shoemakers in Freeport,both 
born in Saxony, Germany. Cemetery records also indicate that 
Louis Goehring had died the same day,Aug 29 1870,although no 
cause of death has been discovered and no stone marks his 
grave within the same plot. Louis' oldest son also died that 
same week of typhoid fever.
